GK went back to the system which was a concern, 442 ouch! afterwards brooky and briggsy said they had the same concerns. Still we went one nil up and played good to start, I did well mainly containing, ran well and although my back was horrble in the warm up, I could do the job on the field. Forgot to mention last game i had a good shot in the first half, saved just by chidzey, but it was fun to score against him in the second half, he had the shits for sure :-) anyway, so one nil up, I remeber getting one long ball in the second half, ran it up, beat one of the full backs, but ddidnt get his foot, and the other one and the goali nearly killed me and the ball drifted off to the right, possibly a bit wary of my back. still when i was off, end of first half, clive did his hammy. We hung on but they got a goal again when I was off in the last 5 minutes, to send it to extra time. I got called off near the end of the first 5 to give clive a trial, and then they got a short corner and scored, so game over. Had a sandwich and a shower, briggsy drove us to the farmers home hotel, met brooky gus and noel, and dave campbell with us, had two beers, off to the airport, had a glass of shiraz, and a red on the plane on DC, thanks dave! Home to alfords point, megan picked me up, one beer for dinner to drown my sorrows, asleep about 10.30. still got last years medal! but second pretty good.
