ran my home to work commute...why has this never occurred to me before? great run, plenty of hillwork to keep me satisfied and nothing beats the joy of running past cars who are gridlocked...

Start hydrated very well.

Simply run relaxed and natural always with the volume of tomorrow’s run in mind. So know that pushing hard will result in a slower pace tomorrow. You want a steady and even effort through out the entire run. Generally this means running slightly slower than you want to. Learn this aspect of how the day can affect the long run. Once we work back in to double long runs then this will be useful.
