Notes

Started off tired right off the bat, so I was curious how the rest of the run would play out. Temps dropped overnight, and the wind was blowing pretty good, so it was pretty chilly out. Luckily most of the time the wind was at my side, but the few stretches that were into it were pretty uncomfortable. The first hour was in the darkness, so I used the headlamp, mostly to see the icy spots on the road. When running up Moore's lane through the golf course, I heard a lot of commotion off in the distance. Couldn't see due to the darkness, but finally saw it was a herd of deer running, and the crunching noise they all made when running across the ice crusted snow was so loud. Came across John P. around mile 7, he was out for his run, so we ran together for a while which was nice. Another crazy early morning run in any weather person! The rest of the run was tough, but doable. Kept it at 8min/mile pace from miles 10-16 to see how it felt. Mostly my legs just hurt from soreness, but endurance wise they seemed ok. Tough run, but a good one. Good to get this one in the books.
