Solid workout, though it was a little quicker than I had been planning for. A big part of that was from my watch taking a huge shit in the first mile and getting all jumbled with pace (it said I was running 12 minute pace until over halfway into it). That caused me to run the first split a little bit too quick, as the original plan was to shoot for around 5:50-6:10ish pace for the first one and 10 to 20 seconds quicker on the next one. I got things back under control and on-plan for the rest of it, aside from the first mile of the second 5k (which was still in that 5:30-50 range, but was a little carried away). I was actually looking at the wrong screen on my watch -- the one that tells you your immediate moving pace, not the average one for the mile -- so I thought I was running 5:40ish on average at the mile. No matter.

I hope this doesn't set me up for injury. I'm pretty mad at myself for running it too hard, but the good news is I felt really strong and in control the whole time -- I honestly felt like I could have pushed harder. Maybe that's a good thing, who knows. Either way, I'm aiming to run extremely easy these next two days.

Terrain wise, I was shooting for a slight simulation of the last 10k of the Steamtown Course (from what I've read).
