Notes

Really solid workout! I went into things feeling a little heavy and tired (I waited to do it in the afternoon, so it was a little warmer out too), but I felt surprisingly good for the most part! I did the first two intervals on the home loop, starting by going out through the Amish farm. The third interval was the same loop, except I finished going up the hill in the Coppersmith development. For the fourth interval, I started down that hill and down the Village Rd. hill, going up to the hill to where it intersects with Wheatfield School, and heading back down to finish near the power plant thing. The goal was to start a little bit faster than target marathon pace (like 5:50-6:10 pace) and get progressively quicker.

I had each interval as going downhill, uphill, downhill, uphill, downhill (to some extent). The hills all varied in size and length, but that was the point; I was trying to simulate what I assume the last few miles of the Steamtown course will be like in Scranton. Considering I was semi-tired legs, the intervals were all somewhat challenging terrain wise, and the weather was on the warmer side, I will absolutely take these splits!
