I was pleasantly surprised with this workout! I felt way better than I did on last week's tempo, and a lot of that probably had to do with the lack of wind. My original plan was to hop on the track, but obviously that was impossible after the snow and ice from earlier this week. I created a nice interval loop in the development behind Fireside, and overall it was really great! It had a slight incline in the first 400 meters, too, which made these times all the more reassuring. I gave myself a slightly longer rest, as this was my first real speed workout in quite a while, but I kept it within reason. Two minutes seemed perfect in both regards. The plan was to stick to 3:10-3:15 for the first three intervals and then get quicker, and I hit that perfectly! The last two were definitely a little tough, but I generally felt really comfortable up to that point.
