Ran the "Running Ahead" 2.5 mile loop x 2 for a 5 mile tempo run. Wanted to just run under 30 minutes when I started because i really didn't know what to expect. Hit the first mile in 5:47 and felt pretty tired. Ran mile 2 in 5:38 so i started to gain a little confidence. Kept the next couple of miles steady in 5:46, 5:43 then built in to the last mile down the hill on Elizabeth to close in 5:33. Total run toay was 1:03 for 10 miles.
Overall, it was a pretty good effort, but shows me that i have a long way to go to get back in shape. That half marathon in 2 weeks is going to be a real bitch...
