Kind of a mess of a day. Slept poorly last night and woke up not feeling much better than yesterday. Warmed up about 7 miles, then raced a muddy XC race. I tried to expend as little energy as possible and still win. I think I was able to do that. The course was super slow, but it also just felt like I was running pretty slowly. I thought this was my slowest 5k race maybe ever, but I think the First Run 5k when it was about 3 degrees out (and I was also sick) was about the same time. Glad to make it out of the day without any injuries and without having really pushed myself. Didn't put in as many miles as I had hoped to.
