Notes

Yesterday I ran one of my slower easy runs ever. I blamed it on Boots for dragging about 3 miles in. I was curious how today would feel after feeling pretty tired the last couple of days and this being my longest run since December. I met up with Ian, and the company made the run fly by.I felt remarkably fluid and relaxed and my muscles didn't feel that fatigued at all. We were definitely enjoying the tailwind on the way back to Burlington, and were about 3 minutes faster over those 7 miles.

I tacked on a bit and felt bummed to have to turn back and head home. My reward was a bald eagle getting mobbed by a ring-billed gull. I finished with 15 minutes at 5:30 pace (but a 5:15 effort as it was into the wind and included going from the lake up to Prospect). Kind of a struggle to stay on effort, but I told myself that I was racing and not doing a time trial so who cares about the actual pace. Felt much better, particularly going up Pearl St.
