More of a cut down type tempo than a straight tempo tempo. I was pretty nervous going into today with my hip having felt on the edge of relapse after last weeks higher mileage and Sunday's long run with fast miles at the end. I was supposed to do a shorter workout but with the snow and the hip I adjusted last minute, thinking a slower tempo type workout was a better, safer choice. I thought it could go one of two ways: after I'd either feel neutral or worse. I didn't really anticipate that I'd feel better. But better is definitely what a I felt!

Not sure what it was but about 30 minutes into the run my hip just seemed to loosen up and the pain went away! Voila. Easy peasy.
