As I've been logging, I have been having a lot of problems with my foot. When I'm walking or running, every push off hurts. The pain started on the bottom of my foot during that workout a week before the 3k. It's now migrated to the side and top of my foot. I do not think it is bone related, and instead thing its inflammation-related. Because of this, my focus is going to be to get healthy. I am going to keep lifting because I like the difference I feel from a strength perspective and I think when I start my next cycle it will pay big dividends. As of now, I don't think I'm going to push to rush back because realistically if I wanted to I can have two more years on the track depending on what my involvement with the club becomes. Because of that, although I think I could pop off a good 5k in the coming weeks, I think the risk outweighs the reward. I want to help the girls train (or Keith and David) the next 8 weeks, so I am going to join in on workouts where I can, but I think I'm going to bring down my mileage for now, do a lot of accessory strength stuff and ice the shit out of my foot and do some ART on the side and see where i am. I am on my feet a ton this week (48 hours at Bene in 6 days), so I'm going to sit when I can and just try to rest.
