Michigan Set (5 x 1/2 mi - odds LT Tempo, even's VO2Max) + 300m hard
Relatively warm. Ran these in Phillips Pl. First workout in 4-5 weeks & felt tired & this took a toll on me. Had no clue what pace I could run - targeted the LT Tempo's at 7:55 & the VO2Max at 7:35. I knew #1 was going to be way off & it was. Ran #2 right where I expected, & then ran #3 right where I expected. And then fell way off running #4 slower (and this felt hard which was disappointing). And then thought I ran #5 the same as #3 but again ran it slower. Then at least over-delivered on the 300m where I targeted 6:30/6:40 but ran faster/stronger.
