Easy Run
Lifted, fast walked 3/4 mi & did drills prior. Legs felt tired/fatigued (which I really felt on this run as at times it was a struggle despite nice/cool conditions). Started fr HarrisY parking lot & ran loops of parking lot over first 3.2 miles (when I started I felt a "punch of fatigue" hit my legs after only 100yds & it felt like I was "settling" for a slower pace & had no ability to go faster, felt sluggish at times & weak, did feel better in mi 3). Ran across street to Elementary School to back parking lot running 3 loops (mi 4 - actually felt much stronger vs mi 3 but pace slowed? could feel myself extending my stride further & in a stronger biomechanical position), ran to 200m in back & ran 6 laps around track (mi 4 thru 4.75 - again, felt sluggish as if I'm "locked" into a lethargic ~9min pace no matter what I do). Stopped as this was longest straight run post-calf injury, stretched hamstring & did drills. Then resumed & did not feel relatively strong & in fact felt like I was running at the same lethargic pace as in mi 4 which is correct even though this is a net downhill. Realized it will be a depressing 1-4 weeks where I will be running at this lethargic pace until I have a breakthrough.
