Long Run [8:03 pace p mi adj for heat]

80 deg / 56% H / 63 dew pt. Much hotter compared to prior days. Hilly course going down Sharon, up Park, up Reid, a lap of Sulkirk and back to Park South to Tyvola. When I started my right Psoas hurt more (more of a hard pain vs. a sharp pain) vs. prior days even though I took yesterday off (and yesterday and prior to when I ran it felt much better and the area of pain much smaller). Legs felt good and things felt easy. However, because I was on the sidewalks and dealing w/bad footing and ducking under trees, I could feel all of this right in the right Psoas area (just off the right hip). When I got off Park I could run in the street and felt less stress in the Psoas (plus had more confidence in foot strikes so pace dropped). Began to feel some fatigue in mile 5 to the point where my legs started to feel like they were almost going "lame". So stopped and regrouped after 5.7 miles (noticed I was sweating and shorts were soaked so it could be the heat and much higher dew pt). Started up and mile 6 continued to feel like a struggle but began to feel better in mile 7, and even better in mile 8, and a second wind at the end. First run over an hour in over five weeks.
