Speed Interval
Goal: 3 x 500m @6:25 pace; 3 x 400m @6:20 pace; 4 x 300m @6:15 pace (200% recovery).
Actual: 3 x 500m @6:23 pace; 3 x 400m @6:18 pace; 4 x 300m @6:12 pace - Overall 6:18 pace.
400's and 300's recorded here. Switched into lighter Newton's and focused on form and not trying to push things too much. After the 3 x 1/4 miles I could actually start to feel this set in my legs (as if the fast twitch fibers were been re-awakened). And also needed to take some extra rest in between the 1/4's and 300m set. Could feel the first 300m but somehow got a second wind as I started to feel better (feel stronger) and got into a good rhythm and then gradually descended.
