Easy Run

Lifted, fast walked & did drills b4hand. Ominous clouds as I drove down to Torrington fr HarrisY (but it was less ominous to the south). After I did my last drill under the trees at Torrington the skies opened up and it was a torrential downpour (what I didn't want -- since it would loosen the tape to support my feet & make my shoes ridiculously heavy). Took yesterday off as I felt exhausted & slept for 15 hours. Started out in the parking lot in Torrington when the rain went fr a torrential downpour to just a downpour -- extremely flooded and in the direction of Earth Fare the wind gusts were about 30 mph. Was completely soaked w/in 200yds & shoes completely soaked w/in 1/4 mi. Ran up N. Community House to Endhaven (mile 1), then out to Elm (mile 2) -- all uphill, felt completely "out of whack", very slow, could feel the 100% humidity & just tried to keep cadence high, then right on Elm out past Ballantyne Commons to Bryant Farms to turn around (mile 3 - still raining hard, had shirt on & kept thinking how I could get it off), looped back & then left on Ballantyne Commons to North Community House (to 4.65mi - this was very rolling & focused on cadence on the uphill portions - over the first 1/2 it was a torrential downpour, & then completely stopped, major puddles all over). Did a loop around Brazewells to add some mileage & watch the big screen TV fr the road, and then down N. Community House back to Torrington (again, felt very slow, right hamstring was tight at times but felt really sluggish/slow).
