Harris Y Trail
Had shooting pains in right foot yesterday (woke me up during sleep). Concerned that I would have to push off run till tomorrow. However, after lots of icing they went away and they are not in the area of the stress fracture (more like a ligament). Goals was to run three 10 minute segments and then one 2 minute. Shortened stride and felt slower but splits said otherwise. Plus I felt "gassed" at around 7-8 minutes & legs felt heavy (the latter probably due to the dead lifts I did yesterday). Walked about 1 minute in between. No pain in foot.
Not feeling "in shape" at all despite all of the elliptical and swimming I did. During this run all I thought about was how out of shape I felt and how it will be a gargantuan task to ramp up to run the 7+ miles I would do on my easy days! The pace thing is driving me crazy...in the second segment I felt like I was crawling along yet I'm going 7:28 pace.
