8 x Strides on Phillips Pl Ct [+ 50m toe offs]
Ran this at the end of a double so ~10 miles in & I felt that fatigue in my legs & body when I ran these. I can't even describe or fathom how slow I ran #1 but it felt like I had not run a stride in a year. And what was worse is that #1 felt like the others. My goal was to run these under control but in the 6 min/6:20 range & not run these too hard. On #2 I tried to "tighten" things & ran 1 min/mi faster & then settled in on #3 & #4. I then slipped on #5 & #7 but kept #6 in the goal range. On #8 I decided to run up Phillips Ct Pl fr Cameron Valley (vs down fr Charlton) & have no idea why or how but this felt really "crisp" & ran this fast (but the same perceived effort as prior).
