Easy Run

Fast walked & did drills in a sleet storm. I was frozen to start w/this strong cold wind blasting sleet in my face -- I couldn't feel my feet or legs or anything, it was difficult to run as I has zero feel (felt mechanical like I was a robot & feet were too cold to hurt). Altered my route to run in the wind first - so headed out fr Scarsdale HS down to Scarsdale library, and then north on Rte 22 which is all uphill and into a stiff cold wind. Had zero sense of pace, go to top of hill 2 miles & it stopped sleeting/raining, then descended in White Plains and at 2.6 miles I had enough of battling the wind and turned around back on Rte 22 and headed back - and felt comfortable (pulled wool socks I was using as gloves), and then glided down the hill in mile 4. In mile 5 legs began to feel "funny" (rubbery), & then at times the PF in my right foot would hurt (which has not hurt for 8 weeks but then went away once I got to the bottom of the long hill) and kept on Rte22 past the library, past the HS, mile 5 clicked (I was really struggling to find rhythm & cadence), then past Crane & turned around in the gas station and doubled back. Now I was running against the wind, which was not bad along the incline next to the HS, but once I descended the hill the wind got much worse & I could feel the wind chill - ran around the library and when I emerged again into the wind it was bad again -- finally headed to the HS w/the wind behind me, felt strong (and warmer) and ran into the HS and then one lap around the mondo track to get to an hour.
