Long Run
Fast walked & did drills b4hand. Seismoid aligned w/middle & 4th toe bothersome (some discomfort). Ran this at a super easy pace. Ran fr Whole Foods out to Cottswold, then ran various loops including 1 mi down Randolph and back, and when I got to 7 mi headed back. At various times felt discomfort in seismoid in left foot, instability in right foot associated w/a knot as hard as stone underneath calf where soleus meets it. Mile 6 was the uphill portion on Randolph. When I turned to South Pk fr Cottswold on Sharon Amity battled a stiff headwind that was bothersome although it cooled me down. At about 9 miles my left foot - seismoid area began to ache every once in a while & at this point I was not going to go 11 miles. When I turned left on Sharon the headwind was worse and about every 2 min I would feel that ache in my left foot. So at this point the goal was to get past 90 minutes. Was able to maintain cadence throughout. Noticed that the aching began at about an hour in which is consistent w/other runs - concerned that this could be the shoes & they might be too narrow in the toe.
