Easy Run
Lifted, fast walked & did drills prior. Purposely took off 3 days (had treatment Fri, rested Sat & Sun) trying to see if that would make any difference in healing right hamstring -- it felt worse (which is consistent w/what has occurred in the past). Very wet conditions & wore the most cushioned shoes I have (which get extremely heavy when wet), Started fr HarrisY and ran loops around parking lot (0 thru 1.25 mi, actually felt decent after 4 days), then over on the muddy dirt trail where there was no way I could not avoid slowing down w/the abundant puddles & muddy conditions (1.25 mi thru 2.7 mi), ran back onto the asphalt and you can see the immediate rebound in pace to the low 8:20's (mi 2.7 thru 4.5). At 2.7 mi I threw my gloves on my SUV as I ran by, as 4.5 mi I had to stop since I felt warm and took my sleeveless windbreaker off (plus felt discomfort in right hamstring & needed to stretch). Then ran out of parking lot across street to Elementary School & 6 laps around 220 yd track & then back Y parking lot to finish.
