VO2Max
was originally going to run 8x Strides
3 x 1/2 mi VO2Max [8:23; 7:59; 7:48] + 300m strong [6:30 pace]
After running a purposely progressive easy run, ran this VO2Max set on tired legs. Goal was to run these at around 8 min pace. On #1 I felt weak & legs felt heavy & literally slogged thru it. At this point I was extremely depressed given the split & feared what was going to occur on #2 & #3. On #2 I immediately felt different in that I felt stronger vs #1 and legs did not feel as weak. On #3 again felt stronger to start & stronger throughout & thru finish (the difference between #1 & the rest I can't fathom). Then ran a 300m where I felt much much stronger & powerful (goal was 7 min pace & blew thru that)....
