VO2 Max / Blend Set

Goal: 3 x (1 Mi at -5 Sec 5k pace or 6:25 mi pace, jog/rest 2:15, 300m at -30 sec 5k pace or 6:00 mi pace, jog/rest 4:30).

Actual: Mile (6:28, 6:28, 6:25), 1/4 Mile (6:05, 5:59, 5:56 pace). 6:22 overall pace.

Wanted to go 6:28, 6:25, 6:24 for the miles but messed up goal as on the 2nd mile I made a mistake and had the treadmill set for 6:35 pace vs. 6:31 pace & did not catch this until 1/4 mile in (at that point it was too late to make a difference...I kept saying to myself how pedestrian 6:31 pace was & then it dawned on me that it wasn't 6:31 pace). Achieved goal on the 1/4 miles (thought these were supposed to be 1/4 miles vs. 300m). Felt good/strong as this set is a real tester...especially the faster segments. The pain in my hip flexor was not present for most of this.
