Long Run

39 deg. very very windy (20-25mph steady wind & gusting). Ran down fr Earth Fare and left on McMullen Greenway, then made a right at detour and left on Colony to across I485, looped back and left on Five Cedars to the 1.25 mile mark on the greenway and back. Wind in my face mile 2, 3, parts of 5, most of 8 & parts of 9. On the greenway during mile 2 wind was not so bad but in mile 3 and mile 8 it was pushing me back. Focused on trying to run at an easy pace in a good rhythm (quick cadence, short stride) and chose a purposely rolling and hilly path thru the first 4 miles. Did not feel the issues in my left leg but would occasionally feel my right Psoas flare (not so going up hills). The last two miles on the greenway (miles 6 & 7) were in twilight where it got hard to see and started to lose rhythm especially on declines (almost like my legs started to go dead?). But once I got out on Johnston Rd felt better except that I was now running into the teeth of the wind. Versus last week, I did not feel my right Psoas get worse and legs began to feel better right after mile 8 (and my pace improved correspondingly). Wind chill had to be in the mid 20's.
