Speed Set: 3 x 500m; 2 x 1/4mi; 2 x 320m
Ran this in oppressive conditions & first speed set since April (since right hamstring injury first wk of May). My goal was not to collapse in heat exhaustion. At least I ran this similar to prior ones over the past 5-7 years where I run much faster on #2 yet #1 feels the worst. I could not get into any reliable rhythm of what pace felt like. But fortunately finished strong but I'm 30-40 sec/mi slower running the 320m vs where I ran these in late April. Did not feel fast until the final two. Accurate splits below:
