Broken Tempo Run
Goal: 3.5 mi at tempo (8:08 pace) + 1k (8:08 pace)
Actual: 3.3 mi @8:11 pace + .82 mi at 7:53 pace on the road
Got to Y so late that I could not get in any warmup or strides & this led to a sub-par effort. Never felt completely comfortable because of the lack of warmup. When I got to 2 miles in there was no way I run the back half faster and essentially grinded out the remainder until I got kicked off the treadmill as the Y closed. So walked outside, got ready, and then instead of running 1k ran .82 mi. I thought the latter segment would be a lot more difficult given the 72 dew pt conditions - felt weak at times but ran this at a steady pace.
