(un)Easy Run
Insanely hot for NY in late Sept. 81 degrees at 7:15pm (dusk). Hot & humid & this combo destroyed me. Started fr Scarsdale HS ran right on Wayside right on Brewster past Olmstead (mi 1 - felt terrible, heavy legs, sweating profusely, struggling), up then down crossing Fenimore right up Sage Terrace (walked up very steep hill), right on Greenacres & left on Rte 22 on block up (mi 2 - all uphill, felt terrible, could not get into any rhythm, struggling in the heat), ran up hill on Rte 22 into White Plains then down left on Madison & immediately looped around left by NuWay Cleaners left on Rte 22 up to Scarsdale (mi 3 - began to feel better, just slowed down, able to get into rhythm), ran downhill on Rte 22 past Greenacres to near Fenimore (mi 3 - 3.86 - even though I was running downhill I was soaked in sweat & could not get into any rhythm, felt really slow & struggled & finally had to stop because of the heat).
