Easy Run

Lifted, fast walked and did drills prior. Pressed for time since my projected finish time would give me 1 min to spare to get into Whole Foods. Cool out so wore shirt (brought undershirt but didn't need it) & also felt like I was coming down w/something. Started out and felt much better and realized that for the first time on the day after a long run no fatigue (recovered). Feet also felt good. Ran down Sharon to HarrisY at a steady pace, ran behind Y onto trail & looped around and then into the parking lot for a loop, and then back on Quail Hollow down to the apex of the first hill where I turned around (felt good). Headed back up Quail Hollow and then ran up to the Beverly Elementary School track behind the school for 3 laps -- when I ran onto track touched pocket and realized that the plastic bag w/my money in it was no longer in my pocket (so no Whole Foods). At this point I shelved my plan, ran over to Harris Y and then retraced my route back to Whole Foods. Don't understand why pace slowed so much in mile 6 (loss of concentration? focused too much on looking for missing money as I ran back?) but I could feel how my energy sagged in mile 6 and then came back in mile 7? No missing money when I finished? Walked back dejected -- but then literally 10' outside of the door of my building there is was -- a folded up plastic baggie (looked like drugs) w/my money -- so everything was 'righted" at the end!
