Long Grove Turkey Trot 2017
Made it out to the annual turkey trot. Had the pleasure of running with LZXC buddies young and old. Went into this with the plan of going slow and easy, and ended up not doing that. Ran with Milner, Bobby, and Shawn Picha to start. Milner got antsy and pushed the pace, I went with and the others did not. Picked up yung Sam Touvannes, current LZ senior, who had donned a taco costume and looked cold. We all ran together til 4ish. Saw my little bro up ahead and decided I wasn't ready to let him win and crushed him on the last straight. Closed in 6 flat, felt pretty hard. Crossed the line with Milner, but ended up winning due to chip time. Had a blast, this is what running is about.
Knee was total non-factor. Am I better? Unsure, will try running again next week.
