Spent the morning being freaked out over the max height box jump. Was relieved to discover that we could use the big cushioned blocks. I was able to do 24" pretty solidly but not quite getting 27". It was fun to watch the others go higher though. I think someone got to 51".
For the WOD, I tried 35#. I wanted to use the training bar plus 2 10# bumper plates so I could drop the bar if necessary but it just felt too heavy. So I had to go down to the little irons for 30#. Runs were hot and sunny.
After WOD, I started to think I should attempt the 24" but on the wooden box. Ah, that was stupid. Totally failed and ended up banging my shins against the edge. A bit bloody. Totally mental. But on the bright side, I know I can get to that height, just need to get over my fear of wood, heh.
