Notes

First group run! It was poring, freezing, and quite the adventure. I had never been around the River Hill area running, so this was an interesting new (and hilly!) run. I felt quite good, a little tired from Monday climbing class, but I was able to keep a good pace. My legs got really really cold towards the end, which hampered my speed and strength, but I did my best to push aside the cold and pain and focus on my breathing and the route. By the time we finished I was soaked (between the rain and my heavy sweating), so I hurried home and changed out of my wet clothes which allowed me to have a good, warm stretch. It was great to see new and familiar faces, and I had a chance to talk with Coach Carrie about my goals, current exercise routines, and running level.
