Notes
So, after the last 3 mile set, Greg and I were waiting for Chris to come around the back bend of the lake. We hear a voice, "Hey, can you help me?" "Can you help me?"
We look around, don't see anything. Look up the back hill through the trees at the pavilion and we see a person that looks like they are stuck on the railing of the pavilion deck. We yelled up that we are coming.
I ran up the hill and found a woman wedged between a metal bench and the railing and she said she could not bend her leg/move her leg because her knee was messed up. There were two Rec & Parks staff guys just standing by looking at her doing nothing. I talked to her about whether we could help her walk to her car and she said she couldn't move. So, I went around the bench, gently picked up the foot of the bad leg and had her pivot to be able to sit on the bench. Then picked up the good leg, swung it on, then the bad leg. This took the pressure off. Her knee had popped out somehow. I said if you can't walk we need to call for medical help.
She looks at me like I'm going to have a phone when I have shorts, no shirt and running shoes on. Then the worthless R & P guy pulls out a phone of his pocket and says he can call 911. Thanks Mr. Obvious.
Later found out that the knee popped back in and seemed like she would be okay without a ride in the ambulance. I'm like a doctor. I saved a life today.
