Great race tonight for me. A course I like, and have run well at before, albeit a long time ago. Warm, sunny evening, and I kicked off and quickly settled into a good rhythm. My rough splits show a pretty good consistency, clocking 4:36, 4:40, 4:37, 4:41 and 4:30. Really enjoyed this run, felt strong and confident all the way, and even managed to kick on the track at the end for a strong finish. Fastest I have run 5K for 11 years, and as an age graded performance, it ranks 2nd of all time over 5K, and although it was not a distance I ran often in my prime, I have raced over 5K, 57 times, and this is my 5th Best of all time.
