Weird workout tonight. Didn't feel great warming up, felt great on the tempo lap, felt great in the 200s, felt good in the first two 400m reps then ran 73.4 and felt so discouraged. Mostly because these workouts don't feel like what I need/want aerobically, ankles are still getting back, shins have been sore intermittently, and I've been so tired doing what feels like not a lot of training. I decided I would nail one rep and then considering calling it a night, then ended up doing the rest of them all on pace. 36s and 72s aren't particularly hard or impressive but I feel like I'm getting stronger and maybe more importantly smoother and more relaxed when running fastish.

In retrospect, running a workout on a cold, windy night at 9pm after work and standing at a track meet for 4 hours probably accounts for not feeling fantastic and being a bit mentally fragile. This wasn't a very hard workout but I think I did a good job of it especially considering the day.
