Notes

Since I've been leaving work earlier and it's light so much later now, headed over to the WA Greenway for tonight's MLR to add some variety. Hugely beneficial I'd say... big mental break. Also added a sense of urgency because I knew I'd be right on the edge of darkness even if I didn't procrastinate. Started a MLR before 7pm!!!

Was warm out to start but not horrible. Didn't feel super over the first few miles but the pace was dece so I figured MP miles would turn out alright. Sure enough, went very well. Well, obvious criticism is that it was too fast, but then again maybe it wasn't. I don't know, things seem to be really falling into place quickly these days so maybe my goal is too conservative, but I still have to keep in mind that 26.2 is a lot longer than 10. Either way, I haven't officially changed goal pace to 6:20 yet but after this past long run, that's what I was shooting for. Even still, not great pacing average, but on the positive side, I generally found myself naturally going too fast and would have to slow down rather than the other way. Not that that makes the overall pacing better, but I'm still relatively new to MP stuff so I don't expect to have it nailed down just yet.

Generally felt great on this one though. Sure I was tired by the end, but I think that's par for the course on a Wednesday night run. Was kind of fun racing against the sunlight... as expected the last 2 were pretty dusky but by that time I was back on pavement so no biggie. Achilles was a little eh on mile 4 but was a non-issue once I stated the MP stuff. Second half was much cooler.

Other random things... some guy on a bike told me I had great form on the second mile, noice. During miles 5 and 6 some douche was riding on the trails with the loudest, idk, moped I guess I've ever heard. And no, you can't do that.
