Matt said this one would get crazy, and it did. 30 sec rest was a killer. I felt pretty good up until the final 800 in the third set. After that, I knew there was going to be a problem. I think I could have gotten this one, if I had done this on another day. I went down to the Oshkosh track at 10 this morning. It was almost 80 degrees, and the wind was blowing from the southwest. That means I ran 180m of the second 200 into a headwind of 10-15 mph. I think I had to work too hard just to hit my paces for those first three. By the time the last set rolled around, I was toast. I tried not to run too hard in the first 200 with the wind because I didn't want to kill myself, then kill myself back into the wind. I'm still confident, but it was good to fail one of these workouts. It's a good reminder that the race won't come easy.

I loved the smell of the track today. I want to go back.
