One inch of snow this morning, but it has melted off the streets and trails. It remained on the three bridges. No big deal. Yeah, I'm getting less afraid of my new shoes. I didn't tape my toes, and have only slight soreness in my right little toe. Maybe I should tape little toes for long run. Anyway, I was in something of a hurry since I needed to shower and leave for choir performance by 2:30. Had "Night on Bald Mountain" going through my head. It was chilly. I don't know which of the aforementioned made me run fast, but it's a pretty impressive pace for that distance. I felt like I was pushing pretty hard, and breathing the cold air and wiping the snot from my nose made it more of an effort, but I didn't really mind. I actually stopped for air several times, and still got a good pace. Can't complain at all, really. Made it back in time for choir, too.
