A glorious run! Everything apparently combined to make this the most enjoyable practice run I've had. Morning runs are always better, and this was kind of an unintentional taper week. I got up around 8:00, showered, drank juice and water. Stretched, taped toes, walked dog. Dog walk revealed that left shoe needed retied. I thought that the wind would be biting, but that proved to not be the case. The run felt good from the beginning, and got better as I went. Got to Normal & J and made the spur of the moment decision to make a loop of it instead of out & back, so I ran east on J all the way to 52nd. Turned out to be a lovely route. Feeling great post-run, too.
