The forecast and the night's rain made it seem like we were going to get drenched, but the gods were kind and stopped the rain just before the race. There were a lot of mud puddles to negotiate on the run, naturally.

I started out pretty gently, intending to run a negative or even split. I think I may have succeeded, but there are no official stats to bear this out. I know I put on some speed in the first mile after the turnaround, but after that, the rest of the race seemed uphill, especially the last two miles. Don't know how a circle around a large building can be entirely uphill. Finished strong enough, though.

Stupid nosebleed again. I wore the knee brace, and was not conscious of it while running. Don't know how much good it did, but my left knee isn't too bad now; it's complaining a bit. I think the wall squats and bicycling have helped as much as anything.

LI-COR crew of nine runners participated. It was good, LRC-wise. Ginger & Carol cheered me across the line, then I joined them. Missed Dan Saunders' finish, but saw David Franzen. Sean Pieper beat me by a bit, the whippersnapper. Ginger's performance in the 5K was awesome - she was the only one 60 and above, and came in 2nd in 55 and above.
