Notes
Opted for the Sunday long run instead of a workout. It's a good morning, overcast. My legs were still tired waking up but they felt good running and surprisingly, I was down to 7min pace by mile 4 and never went slower. It helped to have Naomi biking next to me and chatting. There was also a lot of other Sunday runners out.
The trail ended at 7 miles and I turned around (I did forget there's a paved path I could have moved onto). So it wasn't too motivating to know I'd need to add on once back at the car. It helped that I was feeling fairly good at 10 miles. The 11th mile went by fast. Then I smelled blood in the water as I knew I'd been chasing 2 runners for 5 miles or so (based on seeing them before I turned around). Suddenly I dropped from 6:40's and popped off 2 6:25's. That 13th mile included the only hill on the course and I cruised up that. After the hill, I relaxed somewhat before adding on a mile for 15.
Probably should have gone further but 15 got me to 70 miles. Big week, hopefully feel good for another 60+ mile week before resting for headwaters.
