It's been a few weeks since I tripped down to Des Moines for a longer run... it's a good tradition. I did a lot of hills and was feeling good so I finished with a 15min tempo to get a strava segment. I didn't want to go all out and succeeded. But as I was finishing on the final downhill and telling myself not to get crazy, I instead lost focus and twisted my ankle. I hobbled the final 15m of the segment, stopped, then called it good at 9 miles instead of going for 10. That was enough for my ankle to start feeling better again though.
Missed the segment lead by 2 seconds, damn ankle.
