Notes

I had some workout plans, but the trails were somewhat wet and I couldn't find an obvious hill to climb and other stuff... So I settled on 5min hard, 5min easy (hard and easy are subjective). I started off around tempo. The middle 3 were all on dirt and I had fun flying around the trails, often needing to slow down for turns and wet spots (side note: the trails could really use some scything). For my 5th and final 5min, I kept to the bike path and started heading south of 10k pace. The hard surface wasn't as fun or comfortable but it was necessary - would have been nice to get a pace on that part. My left quad had started protesting this morning and it continued during the workout, so I'll be more cognizant of that.

I also decided to set a FKT on Denmans (Big loop, small loop, start and finish at 'Open' sign - by woods, not bridge): 29min. I'm sure a solid steady pace could beat that without too much effort (instead of my intervals) but I thought it would be fun to keep track of (I know, this isn't Strava).
