Notes

Another weekend day of warm temps, and I was ready to go; excited even. Though about a mile in my lower legs started feeling pretty stiff, exactly like in Houston with the warmer temps. So I took it easy, ran on some snow, found a kybo, got on gravel, and started feeling better. 1st decent run on gravel roads in awhile, hills are somewhat bigger, winds a big stronger; enjoyable though. Getting back into town I needed to slow down for snow and ice, but got to 14 without a hassle. Felt really good for about an hour and then just crashed (and watched Silver Linings Playbook, good movie).

Recap: Highest weekly mileage this season, but barely. Though I have a schedule written, the daily distance is more like guidelines. I guess my theory was to let higher mileage weeks come naturally (if I felt good, I'd run further for a few days), but I seem to be missing the motivation to get more doubles in, maybe one other longer run each week, and there always seems to be a day or 2 each week of shorter runs. Not sure what I'll do now that I'll start racing again soon, maybe there's a chance I'll feel better racing and adding mileage, who knows.
