After a few morning runs, I figured I'd skip the run to midday. I also wanted something with more effort. And since I wasn't sure if that was a good idea or not, I gave myself an easy option of strides, or if I felt decent then I could do a fast finish.

I was feeling alright and never got too hot so I picked it up the final 2 miles. My acceleration was gradual but it didn't feel too different of an effort (or maybe the GPS was just wonky), 1st mile about 6:30. I picked it up for the 2nd mile but this time I included Chapel Hill in the workout. That slowed me down (and got the HR high). Still got the 2nd mile in 6:45 and my fastest time on the hill. I'm almost in the top 10 now, certainly capable of it. The KOM is quite fast though, and looks legit.
