Notes
Today I went North, in the direction I thought I was going yesterday (poor Google Maps skills). No sidewalks to start, but enough shoulder to run on. This area was a near opposite of yesterday's commercial street. Some businesses still, but mostly wooded areas with nice homes hidden among them. I did find the park I wanted after 3 miles. It wasn't really worth visiting, the paths were still paved (or rickety wooden paths), and less shade. I did find a vacant road to do 6 100m sprints that felt alright. The return trip was unremarkable.
17 miles this weekend was quite the surprise. I found the time and happily wasn't too sore from moving a lot of things Saturday (and slightly buckling my right knee while descending some stairs with a bin of weights). Of course, the weather is what made it happen. Instead of squeezing a workout in before leaving town, I wish I would have saved it for this weekend. Let's hope I can keep the momentum going even as I return to a hot forecast.
