I joined Drew for his cool-down along with many others from the mile race. Drew, as usual, was quite beat after his race so we stayed a few steps back. I was happy that the pace started closer to 8 min pace and the first 2 miles went by quickly with minimal time speculating about my toe. Most others picked up the pace 1.5 miles in except for me and a German freshmen that we chatted with for a minute. Then we turned around and made our way back. Beautiful day and I kept getting too warm.
