Notes
Took a spill last night on my bike (I've got excuses, but mostly it was my own inattention and over-confidence, both possibly due to beer-drinking). So my right hip was pretty sore this morning but the pain gradually went away.
Plan today was hill repeats, but we were doing 10 of them so it was more of a long hilly run than intervals. Only Andy/Cinco and Young Cesar were joining. Andy led the 1st one in 1:31, which I thought might be quick for all 10 but I was feeling good. I took the next one in 1:31. Then I made the mistake of letting Cesar lead, and he rolled through the 3rd one in 1:22. I knew that was dumb, and also that he would suffer for it. I took the lead back (we wouldn't see Andy again) and went 1:26, 1:28, 1:25. Cesar dropped after that and I cooled off for the next few: 1:34, 1:32, 1:30, and finished with a 1:26 for good measure.
Felt really good today despite the bruised hip. Hopefully I can hold on to that feeling for awhile. Also nice to run in 55degree weather when the high is supposed to be upper 80's later.
