Did morning run NCC and Henz. It was a smaller group this morning since this is finals week.

The hamstrings felt better this morning. I guess taking it easy does work despite how much it drives me crazy to hold back. The back didn't hurt too bad either.

I saw the Chiropractor yesterday. We went over all the x-rays and measurements. My hip is 12 mm higher on the right side than left. He feels that is the fundamental problem behind my back injury's. The good news is that he said the rest of my body looks great and that he can fix the alignment issue with 16 more visits. He then gave me an adjustment and put me in traction. For the traction, I laid on my back with a wedge cushion placed right under the base of my spine where it hurts the most. The also put one under my neck. The neck is just a bit off, but not bad. I was strapped down this way and had to stay like that for 12 minutes. It was mighty painful but, in a sick way, I didn't mind it because I feel like we have a good plan and I want it to work.

He also ordered me an orthotic for my left foot to where when not running. It is shaped to the way a foot should be versus traditional orthotics that are molded to the current shape of a person's foot, like my running orthotics are. The other thing he gave me is a foam pad that I have to place in the lumbar area when sitting in a chair. It's very uncomfortable and forces correct posture, which hurts. I guess I'll have to get used to this. If all this helps me get better and reduces that chance of future injury, then it's worth it.
