Notes

Double long runs done and dusted. Not much fuss either. Woke up early, had a good breakfast, coffee and still got started before 7am. Drove to Tufts to have Skratch on hand and just in case something went seriously south. Started at about yesterday's pace (7:25+-) and basically slowly progressed over the course of the run.

Felt surprisingly fine. I had a little moment in the 8th and 9th miles where I thought I was getting a little ragged, but it didn't last and I felt strong the last half an hour. The 15th mile was a bear. Up Sterling/Raymond/Curtis/Winthrop, i.e. 140ft up probably, which I ran at 7:13 and then cruised a couple of sub 7s to finish.

So that's 35 miles in 2 days, definitely a PR... and it includes 2400+ft of climbing. But I still believe it's less work than many of my hard back to back Tuesday-Wednesday blocks in the last 12 months. So what I mean is, this looks like a lot on paper (and surely it is), but I believe I have the prereqs to make it beneficial. For example, reference 2/24-25/20 and 8/27-28/19 as two of several examples.

Continuing to feel good overall as the experiment continues. Get a bit of rest next week before hopefully ratcheting up just a wee bit more.
