Notes

Chris,

Had a busy week this past week? I see you did some long runs and were busy on the other days. How did that feel? Since you're used to doing short runs with more consistency, the long runs usually take more out of you and take more time to recovery in between. But, since you knew you were going to take those days off, you received the rest. I would be careful with this type of training, though, it's like stacking up bricks vertically, you don't have base and it could come tumbling down (in the form of injury). Although, if you do do more miles in one day, take the time to rest before the next. "Making up" for lost mileage can also be dangerous, just make sure you are getting the recovery and don't stack up the runs, i.e. 3 hard/long days in a row.

Well, with the past few weeks of training, we should try to shoot for 30+ miles. Your mileage has had a steady climb, one week followed by a down (less mileage) week. I don't know your schedule but here is your outline. I am writing this on Sun, so I am not sure if you ran/will run today.

Mon - Day off if you ran yesterday or easy 4-6 miles. Remember that we are shooting for the low to mid-30's.
